Suzie Kuper
I am multidisciplinary artist based in Taupō, New Zealand. My practice spans ceramics, painting, and printmaking, and I love exploring the spaces where these mediums meet. Experimentation is at the heart of my process — each piece grows out of curiosity and the playful layering of clay, colour, and print.
Much of my inspiration comes from my garden, especially flowers and seasonal change. Textiles and time-worn treasures also shape my work, adding texture, memory, and storytelling. A love of colour threads through my practice, bringing warmth and joy.
After many years in health management, I returned to my lifelong passion for art. My art isn’t about grand statements, but about creating objects and images that spark delight. Each piece is a small celebration of beauty and imagination — art that bridges mediums with beauty and intent.
“Each piece is made to delight — a reflection of nature, memory, and the ways art can bridge mediums with beauty and intent.”
