Jane Fogden

Jane is an artist who is inspired by vibrant colours.

She was born in Johannesburg and immigrated to New Zealand 26 years ago.

Learning to paint is an ongoing journey of self-discovery for her. Jane’s unique artwork is mainly inspired by both the African and New Zealand flora and fauna.

She works in acrylics using acrylic inks in her backgrounds, allowing her imagination to flow and create dynamic interpretations of her own perception of nature.

She endeavours to capture the spirit of the animals she paints, to portray the feelings they stir in her, and hopefully, in the observer too.
